The plastic binding post covers only allowed spades to go in from the top. This meant that once the spades are inserted into the plastic slots, the speaker cable stuck up into the RCA inputs and made getting them both on and not on top of each other a problem. Standard spades would not fit around the large diameter center section well either. Only spades with a large opening can be used. Banana plugs work great. I also did not like the on/off switch located on the back of the amp. This is not convenient at all if the amp is mounted in anything. Although once turned on it does go into a standby mode so you really don't have to turn it off and on.
