Match 5, Dodd Amp verses The Sonic T-amp

Dodd Amp (amp D)

By this round most people were not checking off specifics about the amps with the provided grading system. So we'll move straight to comments noted.

Comments: Nice - no goose bumps but close, nice toe tapping on guitars, nicer bass, brush strokes not as good as "P", good bass control and weight, clean but slightly laid back, good sound stage, pleasing, very close, possibly some more life in "P" but subject to volume, excellent overall sonics, Smoooooth, dead quiet background, more detailed, more real sounding,

Sonic T-amp (amp P)

Comments: Wins on emotion, goose bumps with Vienna Teng, this amps owns Vienna!, I'll give the guitar to "D", very nice brush strokes on Alison Krauss, very moving, Black background, an amp I'd like to see if I could listen to all day, outstanding, sounds good but a little strained, just slightly thin, detailed yet mellow, too bright, cleaner.

Choices to circle for "Favored Amp" were: Barely, Slightly Favored, Favored, or Clearly Favored

Choices to circle for "Differences" were: Very Subtle, Subtle, Slight but Clear, Clear, Clear in Areas, or Very Clear

Amp Favored: 3 voted for "D". 2 circled "Slightly Favored", 1 circled "Clearly Favored"

Differences: 1 circled "Vary Clear"

Amp Favored: 2 voted for "P". 1 circled "Slightly Favored", 1 circled "Clearly Favored"

Differences: 2 circled "Slight but Clear", 1 circled "Vary Clear"

The group was split on this one and with no clear winner both amps moved onto the next round.
