The N2X
The N2X kit was designed to bring a cost no object performance level down to the budget class price point.
The N2X kit uses the M-165X woofer and a Neo 3 pdr with a deep back cup that is an OEM version not available through any other sources. The kit comes with high purity Copper inductors and high quality poly caps from Erse. Resistors are non-inductive Lynk's. Internal wire is a high purity OFC. The tweeter circuit includes Gen.2 Sonicap by-pass caps as well.
There are various options available to allow one to take the performance up several levels depending on ones budget. Upgrade options include a highly recommended Sonicaps and Mills resistors to take clarity and detail levels up a notch.
We now offer the new patent pending Electra Tube Connectors as the standard speaker wire connectors for all of our kits as they are superior to all current binding posts. These have a $59 a set retail value. A conventional binding post is also available from Vampire. The standard internal wire is a high purity solid core 16 gauge with a polyethylene jacket.
 
The N2X kit is fairly easy to build. The kit comes with everything you'll need minus assembly tools and enclosures. The .5 cubic foot cabinets made available from Parts Express can even be used if you don't want to build your own enclosures.
The mini-monitor version is a sealed box design and can be placed closer to its rear wall than a rear ported design. Still the deeper it is out into the room the better it will image. A small ported floor standing version can also be built to extend the -3db down point to 40Hz.
This speaker has fairly low sensitivity and is ideal only for small to medium sized rooms where high output levels are not needed.
